Re: Annual General Meeting for Skate Canada PEI
The 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Skate Canada PEI will be held May 2, 2020 at 10am using virtual (online) platforms. There is no restriction on the number of people attending but voting is restricted as follows:
Each club is entitled to one voting delegate, in addition to the club representative and other members presently serving on Section Board of Directors. Delegates must be registered with Skate Canada as members of a club.
Club Reps: Skate Canada PEI requires each Club to confirm it will have an attendee attending virtually, by April 18, 2020. This advance knowledge is to confirm that quorum requirements for the AGM will be met and if they cannot be met, we will send out a new date and time. Once the date is confirmed links to the platforms will be provided to each attendee.
The official nomination and nominating acceptance form you will find enclosed is for those officers of the Section Executive that will be filled at the AGM in accordance with the Constitution and By-Laws of Skate Canada PEI. These include: Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and Directors-at-large. Committee chair people will be appointed from elected directors after the AGM. Please bring nomination papers to the attention of your members. Completed nomination papers are to be emailed to the Section Office (firstname.lastname@example.org) by noon on May 1, 2020.
The Skate Canada AGM will be held virtually on May 30, 2020. Each club can get the complete information package from Skate Canada on their website (www.skatecanada.ca) regarding this meeting. Each club is entitled to one delegate to vote during the Skate Canada Annual Meeting. The delegate must register to vote online on the Skate Canada declaration portal on the Skate Canada website. All coaches have a vote and can vote online or in person and can act as a delegate for a club while carrying their own vote.
